Where Home Is.

Every day there's a (girl) in the mirror
Asking me
what are you doing here?
Finding all my previous motives
Growing increasingly unclear

I travelled far and I burned all the bridges
I believed as soon as I hit land all the other
options held before me
will wither in the light of my plan

Homesick
Cause I no longer know
where home is

Kings of Convenience

I really relate to this! I spent so much time in the 90s moving between South Africa and England. I could never figure out where I wanted to be, where was home. And when we moved here permanently in 2007, I had this overwhelming feeling of coming home finally. I've not looked back but it sounds like you still have a journey ahead of you.

Thanks Anji.

Emm- It's strange isn't it! I've been here nearly two months, in this short space of time I've landed a job, quit a job, invested all my time, money and energy into building a playschool for street kids, which isn't working out either. Now I'm back to square one. I feel so connected to this place and to the people here, but at the same time I know that there are so many things that I just can't get used to....I feel really torn. Hope I figure things out.

Be patient my friend, it's such a time of change and upheaval that none of us know where our destiny will take us in the days to come. I don't know where my home is either, so I know how heartbreaking it can be but while we can still see the glory of creation and give thanks we're never really far from home. Love to you M x

Thanks M. Ahhhh maybe it's inherent within us all, this longing for a place we can call home... But I completely agree and when I look at the animals here sleeping in the strangest of places and the children playing on the streets, I think to myself that the very idea of 'home' is kind of a ridiculous and that as long as we have peace within, we can feel at home anywhere on planet earth.... :-) x

Well said, Sy! I'm sure you'll work it out. In the meantime, keep taking amazing photos for us:-)
